MY CHILDREN'S CRAZY SLEEP HABITS
My children, especially Maddox and Tess, have a few rather annoying sleep habits. Maddox is demonstrating many of his in this picture. #1 he is a cuddle monster. He wants as much of his body to be touching the person next to his as possible. #2 as eluded to in the previous comment, he always wants to sleep with someone else. #3 he always starts out in his bed, usually with Reagan beside him after some begging, and then makes his way down to my bed in the middle of the night (he's in my bed in this pic) #4 he kicks the covers off him self and usually the person next to him. Its probably why Reagan's arms are crossed. she's trying to protect her covers.
Tess just comes down into my bed in the middle of the night almost nightly. She doesn't even wake me up anymore. She just climbs in.
Reagan talks in her sleep and would sleeps in the latest of all my kids (she'd sleep until at least 9:00 every day if I let her) She has been known to sleep to 11:00 a few different times.
Ellie is normal. thank heavens
CEREAL BOX BOOK REPORT
For a book report for her 6th grade class, she had to make a cereal box. Instead of printing and cutting and pasting, we decided I would teach her how to use photoshop a little bit, make it look a bit more professional and by pass a few steps. She loved how it turned out and was really proud of her new skills. and of course she got an A+
DISCOVERY CLUB SPACE PROGRAM
Tess started preschool at the Discovery Club. Its an amazing school. They foster such a love of learning and cover so much material. They have a parent program every time they finish a until and show off their new knowledge in songs and by stating facts. This was Tess's first program. It was all about space. I was amazed at all she knew (more than most people in our family; I won't name names)
RACE WITH REAGAN
There's not much to say that this picture doesn't say. We had a race and this was my view. although totally depressing for me, I was proud of her. She likes to run. Maybe track will be her thing.GLASSES FOR REAGAN
This was a new experience for me. Reagan told us that she had a hard time seeing the board at school and couldn't read the hymn numbers when we sat in the back at church so we thought we better check it out. Sure enough, she needed glasses. She picked these out and loves them. I think she looks darling in glasses and am glad she can see now. It was funny on the way home from picking up the glasses. It was like a whole new world opened up to her. She was reading street signs and building numbers like she just learned to read.
TOUGH-ER MUDDER
Jordan did another tough mudder race. This time with his friend Damon Tempest and this time in Utah. This time he was tougher because he had to deal with freezing temperatures outside. The Medics had to pull alot of people out for hypothermia. Jordan said he has never been so cold, but he rocked it. Im proud of you babe! Way to be tough!
Meanwhile Tess and Brody were doing this tough mudder. Swimming in October is pretty chilly even in Mesa Arizona. I wouldn't get in:)
THIS DARN DOG
This is the first time Ollie got into trouble. If we only knew what was to come. He had been digging in the back yard and was all muddy. Since this picture was taken, he has been much worse and covered in a lot more mud!
TODAY REAGAN LOOKED EXTRA CUTE IN HER GLASSES AND BALLET BUN
HALLOWEEN FESTIVITIES
As is our tradition, the family home evening before Halloween, we carved pumpkins. this is what the kids came up with this year. Also, as is our tradition, the kids design their own. This year we made caramel apples for the first time. I don't think you can really mess up a caramel apple, but they were delicious!
HALLOWEEN
This year we had Harry Potter, an Indian Princess, Mother Nature, a Roman Gladiator and Jude Law (ok not really Jude law, but theres something about Jordan in this picture that reminds me of Jude Law- he's wearing Maddox's harry glasses). We did the Halloween stuff. Chili and bread sticks for dinner, trunk or treat at the park, trick or treating through the neighborhood. this year Ellie went with her friends and Reagan went with some neighborhood girls. Grammy and Papa were here visiting because they were babysitting the next day for us, so that made it extra fun.
